Code 36 (Canister Purge Control)

TANK VENTILATION
Explanation
This trouble code is stored in the case of a break or short at:
- Fuel evaporation purge control valve
- Wire from Digital Motor Electronic (DME) control unit to fuel evaporation control valve
- Output stage in the DME control unit

Troubleshooting
- Perform component activation with tester. The valve is activated at 1 second intervals - this is audible. During normal operation, the valve is opened dependent on engine speed and load.
- Proceed with displayed scan tool diagnostic instructions where applicable.
