Procedure 5

Replace transmission mounts and body brace on 325iA/325i.





Remove side heat shields. Disconnect O2 sensor bracket from cross brace.

Support the transmission.





Loosen and lower transmission mount bracket.





Remove rubber mounts from bracket and install new mounts.





Note:
Position of locating tabs on mounts.

Reinstall transmission mount bracket and heat shields.





Remove body cross brace and bracket from bellhousing, and discard.





Install new cross brace, using new bolts supplied in parts kit.

Tighten to 58 N-m.
