1232/1233 - Throttle Valve Switch

Injection Electronics (Motronic Control Unit). Wiring Diagram:

1. With the ignition switch "OFF", disconnect the throttle switch electrical connector.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the "RUN" position and make the following voltage measurements at the connector (female half).

^ Brown/black wire (terminal 3) and ground = approx. 5 volts. If not, check the wire to terminal 53 of the Digital Motor Electronic (DME) control unit connector for an open or short to ground. If wire is OK, DME control unit is defective.
^ Brown/blue wire (terminal 1) and ground = approx. 5 volts. If not, check the wire to terminal 52 of the DME control unit connector for an open or short to ground. If wire is OK, DME control unit is defective.
^ Brown/black wire (terminal 3) and brown (terminal 2) = approx. 5 volts. If not, check wire to ground for an open.
^ If all of the voltages are correct replace the throttle switch.
