Vehicles Affected
The vehicles involved were produced between 9/91 and 3/92.In order to determine if a specific vehicle is affected by this Service Action, it will be necessary to utilize the "Service Menu" of the DCS (Dealer Communications System). Proceed to "Inquiries;" "Vehicle History" and enter the Chassis Number (last seven characters) of the vehicle in question. Based on the response of the system, either proceed with the following corrective actions or take no further action.
The Chassis Number Ranges listed below are only for informational purposes and are not to be considered as the only deciding factor. The affected vehicles are limited to vehicles within these ranges, but not all of these vehicles are affected by the Service Action outlined in this bulletin. The final decision factor is in the DCS inquiry.

Vehicles may also be identified by examining the condenser. Using a flashlight or drop light, look at the edge of the condenser through the passenger-side "kidney" grille. The original style condenser has external looped tubing visible at the outer edge. The newer style condenser, which affects vehicles pertaining to this S.I., has a smooth edge and internal, concealed tubing loops. Refer to the illustration:
