SUBJECT: Repair Manual Error

MODELS: E36 2-door

Situation:
Repair Manual No. 4, dated 12/92 has an error in the procedure to perform a partial rocker panel replacement. Operation number 41 11 145 on page 41-11/50 shows that the damaged panel should be cut off 240 mm behind the jack hole. This measurement is incorrect. The correct measurement is 350 mm. This will be corrected in subsequent versions of the repair manual.

Please advise your body shop personnel of this error.
