Before commencing any work, Service Precautions
1. On models with SRS, disable airbag system.
2. In all cases, remove necessary trim panels and steering wheel.
3. Disconnect battery ground cable.
4. Disconnect multi-pin plug from signal harness.
5. Disconnect all harness clips in area.
6. Disconnect plug and remove switch.
7. Ensure wheels are pointing straight ahead before reassembling switch.
8. When installing switch, ensure there is a gap of .012 inch between switch cam and reset dog, Fig. 4.
