Intake Air Plenum: Description and Operation

PURPOSE
Tuned intake air plenums provide a measured supply of clean air, which is mixed with injected fuel for combustion. Because of its larger volume and special shape, throttle response is improved and horsepower is increased over a broader rpm range.

CONSTRUCTION
The intake system is comprised of the collector-plenum assembly and the intermediate intake runner. The fuel injectors, fuel injector rail, pressure regulator and injector electrical conduit are mounted to the intermediate intake runner.
