REMOVING AND INSTALLING OR REPLACING ON-BOARD COMPUTER

Note: E30 shown, E28 proceedure is similar.




Lift out radio mask or remove radio




Open glove box
Pull Out pins (1) of both retaining straps




Unscrew screws and pull down cover




Pull off wire plug and remove cover.




Unscrew screws and remove cover.




Unscrew screws and take out on-board computer.




Pull Out slider (1) and pull off plug (2).




Replacing Coding Plug:
Compress retainers and pull out coding plug.
