With Aluminum Shift Lever Console

NOTE:





A new shift lever is installed in some cars beginning with 1988 models. It cannot be disassembled.

- Remove shift lever.





- Lift out wire snap ring.





- Pull off shift lever upper Section.

Installation Note:
Check installed position.





- Pull off cap (1).
- Remove circlip (2).
- Remove rubber ring (3), washer (4), snap ring (5) and rubber pars (6).





- Press off bearing plate downward.

Installation Note:
Lubricate bearing plate and ball with Molykote Longterm 2.
