Wiper Switch: Service and Repair

1. Disable airbag system, refer to Air Bags and Seat Belts/Air Bags (Supplemental Restraint Systems)/Service and Repair
2. Remove steering wheel as described under STEERING SUSPENSION CHASSIS AND BODY COMPONENTS/COMPONENT REPLACEMENT AND REPAIR PROCEDURES/STEERING WHEEL
3. Remove left lower instrument panel trim and lower steering column cover.
4. On 635 and M6, disconnect hoses from in-car temperature sensor and the sensor electrical connector.
5. On all models, release harness straps and disconnect switch electrical connector from harness.
6. Remove switch mounting screws and the switch.
7. Reverse procedure to install.
