FLASH CODE RESET

Use this procedure to cancel all faults after repairs have been made.

a) Turn ignition "OFF".
b) Set the rocker switches to "Memory Recall" and "Pin 6".
c) Screw the tool onto the diagnostic plug. If the vehicle has a 15 pin diagnostic plug also use special tool 61 2 060 - adapter.

- The GREEN LED must light up when the tool is screwed into place. If the RED LED lights immediately, the tool must be removed and reconnected until the GREEN LED lights up.

d) Switch the ignition to the "RUN" position. This must be done in one quick motion.

- The GREEN LED should go out and the RED LED should light. If the GREEN LED stays on immediately after the ignition is switched to "RUN", the procedure must be repeated by turning the ignition "OFF" and back to "RUN".

- The RED LED will now illuminate and the SRS light will remain "ON".

- After a 15 second delay the RED LED will go out and the GREEN LED will illuminate. This indicates that the reset procedure is completed.

e) Turn ignition "OFF".

f) To verify that the procedure was successful, disconnect the recall/reset tool and turn the ignition to "RUN".

- The SRS light should go "OUT" after approximately 6 seconds.
