SUBJECT: E30 Repair Manual Fiche Errors


Situation: Please be advised of the following errors on the E30 Repair Manual Fiche.

# 1 Frame 54 - 57, Drawing 30 54 151

Text explains adjusting microswitch S1, but fails to explain the convertible top position.

Correction: The top should be positioned as shown on Frame 54-53, Drawing 30 54 121.

# 2 Frame 54 - 66, Test Step 3 says, "Measure voltage between Pin 20 and vehicle ground. Specification: approx. battery voltage".

Correction: Pin 20 is a ground and therefore will not yield battery voltage.

# 3 Frame 54-67, Test Step 4: The colors green and yellow in the test step are transposed.

Correction: When performing test step 4, open direction should yield a yellow light, and closed direction should yield a green light.
