SUBJECT: Seat Belt Guide

MODELS: 325i Convertible

Situation: When the seat belt is allowed to rapidly retract, the belt may become twisted as it is reeled into the B-pillar opening.

A new style guide which prevents twisting has been introduced in production during March 1990.

Correction: In case of a customer complaint, both of the early style guides should be replaced with later style guides. These guides are available under the same part numbers as shown on the parts fiche:

Status: Covered under the terms of the BMW 3 Years/36,000 Mile New Car Limited Warranty.

Note: This operation is for replacing both guides.
