Intake Air Plenum: Description and Operation

The tuned intake air plenum is designed to increase horsepower over a broader RPM range. Because of its larger volume and special shape for full air funnel flow, the engine has better response when the throttle valve is opened abruptly. This also reduces the pulsed vacuum effect that is more pronounced with a less sophisticated arrangements.
