Check Control with Alpha-Numeric Display

The instrument cluster is complete with the dot matrix Check Control/display, automatic transmission range display and LCD odometers. All instruments and pointers are back lit for improved illumination.
Elliposidal-principle headlights
The low beam headlights and the fog lights operate according to the elliposidal principle. This has enabled a typical BMW low nose profile to be adopted with two headlights of the same diameter.

Introduction of headlights using this principle allows for better road surface illumination and more accurate light placement. The light produced by a halogen bulb is reflected from a reflector of elliposidal design and projected through a lens onto the road.
