C - Transceiver Main Circuit Board Replacement

Remove the two screws holding the top cover.

Turn transceiver over and remove top cover.



If equipped with VA-55 Voice Activation, remove VA-55 circuit board by removing the three screws and pulling up carefully on the board.

Carefully pull up on the duplexer leads, disconnecting them from the main board.



Remove the 6 screws that secure the transceiver housing to the bottom cover.



Lift up the housing and carefully disconnect the four-wire connector.
^ Replacement main boards will be shipped attached to a transceiver housing to prevent shipping damage. Remove the new main board from this shipping housing. All defective main boards are to be returned attached to a shipment housing.

NOTE: If the customer's phone is equipped with VA-55 Voice Activation, transfer the PROM from the old main board to the new board.

^ Reassemble the transceiver in the reverse order of disassembly.

^ Reinstall into vehicle and check for proper operation.
