B - Registration Check
^ This check should only be performed if:a) programming has been verified; and
b) phone is unable to place and receive calls.
^ Obtain a completed copy of the programming sheet used to program the phone. Confirm that the ESN on the programming sheet matches the ESN on the transceiver.
^ Call the Cellular Telephone Company that provides the cellular service for this customer's phone. Ask them to verify the activation of this customer's phone. They will need information found on the programming sheet.
NOTE: If phone activation was arranged through the BMW Cellular Support Group, confirmation of the activation can be made by calling the BMW Cellular Support, Monday through Friday 9:00 - 5:30 EST. 1 (800) 521-1535 (within New York State) 1 (800) 338-1948 (outside New York State) Confirmation will usually be made within the same working day.
1) If it was determined that the phone had not been activated, check operation of the phone once activation is made.
2) If phone fails to operate, replace the Transceiver main circuit board. See Transceiver Main Circuit Board Replacement procedures.
