SUBJECT:
EML System Component Replacements (including accelerator pedal assembly, throttle valve assemblies, EML control unit, cruise control switch, related harnesses etc.)

MODELS:
All so equipped

Please be advised that until further notice, a 2013 Printout will be required for all EML System Repairs.

The Printout should contain the following information:

1. Initial software page.

2. EML fault memory contents.

3. All pertinent test pages.

The 2013 Printout should be attached to the component in such a way as to insure readable condition later when the part is examined at the factory.

Your cooperation will provide quality control and research/development personnel at BMW AG with vital information necessary for verification of EML repairs and assure continued system improvements, if necessary.

The intent of this procedure is not to reject warranty claims but to obtain all possible information pertaining to the repair. Thank you for your support and cooperation.
