Affected Vehicles

Condition
1. The sunroof function is locked for a period of time and then function resumes.

2. The interior light is dim for a period of time and then operates normally.

Technical Background

^ Sporadic DTC logged in the comfort control unit, J393, address word 46. 03637 - Roof electronics control module, excess temperature.

a. The DTC sets and functionality stops when the sunroof is opened and closed several times without interruption. This is to protect the sunroof motor. When the motor cools the sunroof will operate.

b. The DTC sets and the interior lights dim when the vehicle interior temperature exceeds a set value. When the vehicle cools the interior lights will operate normally.

Not applicable.

Service

Erase the DTC and re-check. If the DTC returns, continue with diagnosis.
