Cabin Air Filter / Purifier: Service and Repair






Dust and Pollen Filter

Dust and pollen filter change interval.

Dust and pollen filter is available in different versions without activated charcoal insert (for vehicles without Air Quality Sensor (G238) ) and with activated charcoal insert (for vehicles with Air Quality Sensor (G238) ). Refer to Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA).

Clean area of dust and pollen filter in housing of A/C (heater) unit before installing a new filter.

On vehicles with driving school equipment, pedals of driving school equipment must be removed if necessary (depending on version, service disconnect points are present on driving school pedals. Refer to driving school equipment).

- Remove screw clips - A - (different versions - C - and - D -) and remove insulation mat - B -.






- Cover the carpet with paper in the area under the dust and pollen filter.

- If necessary, remove bolts - A - (not installed in all vehicles, they secure cover - B - in the event lugs - D - no longer hold).






- Slide the cover - B - in direction of arrow - C - and remove it.

- Remove dust and pollen filter - A - out of shaft - B - of air conditioner (heating).






- Clean heating and A/C unit via shaft - B - (e.g. using a vacuum cleaner) after removing dust and pollen filter.
