Headlamp Washer Spray Nozzle: Service and Repair

Headlamp Spray Nozzles

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Hose Clamp Pliers (V.A.G 1275)

Removing

- Remove front bumper cover. Refer to Removal and Installation.

• Protect bumper cover by laying rag underneath and secure nozzle using pliers.

- Pull spray nozzle telescope out of bumper cover as far as stop.






• Hold telescope in extended position with pliers - 4 -.

- Spread side walls on cover - 1 - for spray jet - arrows - and carefully disengage cover side walls from retaining pins - 2 and 3 -.

- Remove fluid hose - 4 - from spray nozzle - 1 -.






- Remove bolts - 2 and 3 - and remove spray jet.

Installing

• Tightening specification. Refer to => [ Headlamp Washer System Overview ] Headlamp Washer System Overview.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

• Secure all hose connections using standard hose clamps. Refer to Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA).

- Make sure that guide pin sits in mount - arrow -.

- Install hose clamp using (V.A.G 1275).

- Install front bumper cover. Refer to Removal and Installation.
