Removing

• Engine cold.

- Briefly open the coolant reservoir cap to reduce the residual pressure in the coolant system.

- Remove the engine cover - arrows -.






- Disconnect the connector - 1 - from the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor (G62).






• Lay a cloth below to catch escaping coolant.

• Ignore - 2 -.

- Remove the retaining clip and the engine coolant temperature sensor.

Installing

Installation is done is reverse order, observe the following:

• Replace O-ring.

• To prevent coolant loss, immediately insert new engine coolant temperature sensor in support.

- Check the coolant level => [ Check the coolant level. ] Service and Repair.
