Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister

Removing

Checking for leaks, refer to => [ Leak Detection Test, Performing ] Diagnosis and Testing.

- Remove rear section of the exhaust system.

- Remove the heat shield from the rear muffler.

- Disconnect the vent lines and connecting lines - 3, 4 and 5 - by pressing the release button.






- Remove bolts - 1, 2 and 6 -.

- Release the retaining tabs in direction of - arrow - with a screwdriver and remove the EVAP canister.

Installing

Tightening specification, refer to => [ EVAP Canister and Leak Detection System Overview ] EVAP Canister and Leak Detection System Overview.

Installation is carried out in the reverse order while noting the following:

- Press on the vent and connecting lines until they engage audibly.

- Install the heat shield on the rear muffler.

- Install exhaust system.
