Rear Brake Caliper Piston, Pressing Back
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Resetting and extracting tool (T10165)
• Before pushing back the piston, siphon some of the brake fluid out of the brake fluid reservoir. To extract brake fluid from the brake fluid reservoir, use a bleeder bottle or a plastic bottle that only comes into contact with brake fluid.
Brake fluid is poisonous. NEVER siphon brake fluid with your mouth!
- Position (T10165) on brake caliper housing piston.
- Install pistons at knurling wheel of (T10165) by turning clockwise. Do not damage protective caps.
• If the piston is difficult to move, use a 13 mm open end wrench on the flats - arrow - provided for this purpose.
