Front Brake Caliper Piston, Pressing Back

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Piston resetting tool (T10145)

Press brake piston back into caliper housing using resetting tool before inserting new brake pads. Before pressing back, extract brake fluid from reservoir with bleeder bottle so escaping fluid does not damage components.

Press the brake pistons back with the (T10145).

Make sure that brake fluid cannot leak out of the brake fluid reservoir because it will damage components and the paint.

When siphoning brake fluid, always use a bleeder bottle that is used exclusively for brake fluid.

Brake fluid is poisonous. NEVER siphon brake fluid with your mouth! Also due to its corrosive effect, brake fluid must not come into contact with paintwork.
