Rear Door Window Regulator: Service and Repair

Window Regulator

Removing

- Open the rear side window.

- Remove the side window mount. Refer to => [ Side Window Mount ] Side Window Mount.

- Remove the bass speaker, if equipped.

- Remove the window regulator cover..






- Remove the speaker.

- Remove the plugs - arrows -.

- Loosen the nuts - 1, 3 and 4 - just a few turns.

- Remove the window regulator - 2 -, the side window and the window regulator motor upward and disconnect the connector - 1 -.

• The window regulator motor and the side window must be removed if the window regulator is faulty.

• Remove the window regulator motor. Refer to => [ Left and Right Rear Window Regulator Motors ] Left and Right Rear Window Regulator Motors.

• Remove side window. Refer to => [ Rear Side Window ] Rear Side Window.

Installation






• Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Window Regulator Motor and Window Regulator Overview ] Window Regulator Motor and Window Regulator Overview.

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

Danger of causing damage to the window regulator.

• Pay close attention to the screw version for the window regulator motor, refer to => [ Be sure to use the correct version of the bolt for the window regulator ] Window Regulator Motor and Window Regulator Overview

- Check the pre-adjustments on the adjusting screws when installing a new window regulator.

• Dimension - a - = 24.0 mm.

• Dimension - b - = 19.3 mm.

• Dimension - c - = 23.3 mm.

- Install the speak and bass speaker.

- Install the window regulator cover.

- Install the side window mount. Refer to => [ Side Window Mount ] Side Window Mount.
