Outer/Inner Window Shaft Strip
Removing
- Open the rear side window.
- Remove rear side trim..
- Remove the inner window shaft strip - 2 - from the body seam - arrow A -.
- Remove the outer window shaft strip - 1 - from the body seam - arrows B -.
Installation
Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:
• Water will get into the passenger compartment if the outer/inner window shaft strip and the convertible top compartment cover seal are not installed correctly.
- Mount the outer window shaft strip - 5 - onto the body seam near the convertible top compartment.
• The end - 1 - of the seal must touch the outside of the convertible top compartment cover seal - 2 -.
• The water drain opening - 3 - must be in full contact with the inside of the convertible top compartment cover seal - 4 - - arrow -.
- Mount the inner window shaft strip - 6 - on the side window mount.
• The lug - 9 - on the inside of the window shaft strip must touch the outside of the window shaft strip - 10 - as illustrated.
• The water drain channel - 8 - must touch the convertible top compartment cover seal completely - 7 -.
- Install the rear side trim panel..
