ATF Level in Rear Final Drive 0BF and 0BE, Checking

Test requirement

• ATF temperature: 10 °C to 60 °C (50 °F to 140 °F)

• The rear final drive must be in its installed position.

• The vehicle must horizontal.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Catch tray

- Remove the ATF inspection plug - 1 -.






• The ATF check plug - 1 - is located on the left side of the rear final drive. ATF on the final drive housing - arrow -.

• Overview of the ATF plugs, refer to => [ Overview of ATF Plugs on the Rear Final Drive 0BE ] ATF and Gear Oil Drain and Inspection Plugs, Rear Final Drive 0BF and 0BE Overview

• The ATF level is correct when the rear final drive is filled up to the lower edge of the fluid fill hole.

If the ATF level is correct:

- Install and tighten the new ATF inspection plug. Tightening specification - item 12 - => [ (Item 12) ATF Check Plug ] Rear Final Drive Overview.

If the ATF level is not correct:
