Always replace bolts
First Step: Bolts 1 through 16 50 Nm
Second Step: Bolts 1 through 16 Tighten 90° further
Third Step: Bolts 17 through 31 23 Nm
Allocation of Crankshaft Bearing Shells for Cylinder Block
Bearing shells with the correct thickness are allocated to the cylinder block in the factory. Colored dots on sides of bearing shells serve for identifying bearing shell thickness.

Allocation of Crankshaft Bearing Shells for Guide Frame
Bearing shells with the correct thickness are allocated to the guide frame in the factory. Colored dots on sides of bearing shells serve for identifying bearing shell thickness.
The allocation of the bearing shells for the guide frame is identified by a series of letters on the crankshaft flywheel flange. The first letter of the row of letters represents bearing "1", the second letter is for bearing "2", etc.
Main Bearing Clearance
Crankshaft Axial Clearance 0.15 to 0.25 mm
Radial Clearance:
New 0.015 to 0.055 mm
Wear Limit 0.080 mm
