Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor: Service and Repair

Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor (G79) with Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor 2 (G185)

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Vehicle Diagnostic Tester

Removing






- Remove the lower instrument panel cover on the driver side.

- Disconnect the connector - 2 - by pressing the release - 1 - up - arrow -.

- Remove the bolt - 3 - and remove the accelerator pedal module downward.

Installing






• Tightening specification, refer to => [ Accelerator Pedal Module Overview ] Accelerator Pedal Module Overview.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Engage the accelerator pedal module - 4 - on the bottom of the pedal bracket - 1 -, insert the centering pin - 2 - and tighten the bolt - 3 -.

- Install the lower instrument panel cover on the driver side.

- Perform after the first kick-down adaptation in Guided Functions using a vehicle diagnostic tester.
