Evaporative Emission Canister and Leak Detection System Overview






1 Leak Detection Pump (V144)

• Installed location: on the left side at the back of the underbody under the cover

• Check in Guided Fault Finding vehicle diagnostic tester

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Leak Detection Pump (V144) ] Service and Repair

• Leak detection pump (V144) air filter, removing and installing, refer to => [ Leak Detection Pump (V144) Air Filter ] Service and Repair.

2 Clamp

• Must be appropriate for the model type. Refer to the Parts Catalog

3 Vent Line

4 Bolt

• 4 Nm

5 Bolt

• 16 Nm

6 Rubber Grommet

7 Bushing

8 Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister

• Installed location: In the bottom of the spare wheel well

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ EVAP Canister ] Service and Repair

9 Vent Line

• To the locking flange on the fuel tank

• To disconnect, press release button on connection piece

10 Vent Line

• To EVAP canister purge regulator valve 1 (N80)

• To disconnect, press release button on connection piece

11 Seal

12 Vacuum Line

• To the engine

Leak Detection Pump (V144) Air Filter - Tightening Specification





- Tighten the nut - 2 - to 5 Nm.
