Evaporative Emission Control Canister: Service and Repair






EVAP Canister

Checking for leaks, refer to => [ Leak Detection Test, Performing ] Leak Detection Test, Performing.

Removing

- Follow all safety precautions. Refer to => [ Safety Precautions ] Safety Precautions.

- Follow the guidelines for clean working conditions. Refer to => [ Clean Working Conditions ] Clean Working Conditions.

- Remove the left rear underbody panel..

- Disconnect the connector - 6 -.






- Remove the air line - 5 -.

- Remove the vent line - 7 -.

- Disconnect the vent line - 9 - to the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister purge regulator valve 1 (N80) by pressing the release button.

- Disconnect the vent line - 2 - to the fuel tank by pressing the release button.

- Remove the bolts - 1, 4 and 8 - and the EVAP canister - 3 -.

Installing

Tightening specification, refer to => [ Evaporative Emission Canister and Leak Detection System Overview ] Removal and Replacement.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Connect the air and vent lines until they engage audibly.
