Inner Tail Lamp







Inner Tail Lamp

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Trim Removal Wedge (3409)

Observe the notes on contact corrosion. Refer to => [ Contact Corrosion ] Service Precautions.

Removing






- Switch off the ignition and remove the ignition key.

- Turn the light switch into the "0" position.

- Pry the cover - 1 - out using a (3409) - arrow -.

- Disconnect the electrical connector - 2 -.






- Remove the nut - 5 - and the clamping bracket - 1 -.

- Remove the nut - 3 - and the small clamping bracket - 4 -.

- Remove the inner tail lamp toward the outside.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

Tightening specification, refer to => [ Inner Lamp ] Inner Lamp.

Make sure the seal between the body and tail lamp housing seals correctly.

- Position the inner tail lamp on the outer edge of the rear lid.

- Slide the small clamping bracket - 4 - onto the inner tail lamp threaded pins and install the nut - 5 - loosely.






- Slide the large clamping bracket - 3 - onto the inner tail lamp threaded pins. The guide pins - 2 and 6 - must engage in the mounts.

- Tighten the nuts - 1 and 5 - by hand.

When tightening the nuts, the clamping bracket wedges itself onto the rear lid - arrows -.
