• Data bus on board diagnostic interface (J533) interlinks the different Controller Area Network (CAN) bus systems in the vehicle.

• It transmits data from for example, the Engine Control Module (ECM) (drivetrain CAN bus) to the instrument cluster (instrument cluster CAN bus).

• Fault finding is done in "Guided Fault Finding" using the Vehicle diagnostic tester.
