Multimedia System Control Head (E380)

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Trim Removal Wedge (3409)

- Turn off all electrical consumers.

Removing

Vehicles with Automatic Transmission:

- Turn on the ignition.

- Place the selector lever in the "S" position.

- Turn off the ignition.

All Vehicles:

- Remove the key.

The multimedia system control head is fastened - 1 - with springs in the center console - arrows -.






- Remove the Air Conditioning (A/C) controls - 1 -. Fold the grommet - 2 - on the selector lever upward.






- Unlock the spring using the (3409) and lift the multimedia system control head - 3 - upward and out of the center console - arrows -.

Be careful of the short wires to the multimedia system control head, the electromechanical parking brake button (E538) and the access/start authorization button (E408).

- Unlock and disconnect the connectors on the back.

Remove the electromechanical parking brake button and the access/start authorization button.

Installing

- Install in reverse order of removal.
