External Audio Source Connection (R199) Inside Glove Compartment

The external audio source connection is installed in the glove compartment.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Radio Removal Tool (T10057)

- Turn off all electrical consumers.

- Remove the key.

Removing

- Open the glove compartment.

- Insert the two clips of the (T10057) into the slits on the external audio source connection until they engage. Points on the grip eyelets of tool face outward.






- Pull external audio source connection out of mounting frame.

- Disconnect all of the connectors from the external audio source connection.

- Remove the (T10057) , push locking tabs on external audio source connection to do so.

Remove the Internal Control Module

- Remove the screw - 2 - on back side (2 Nm).






- Press the tabs - 4 and 5 - down then up and remove the control module from the frame - 1 -.

Installing

- Connect all harness connectors.

- Slide the external audio source connection on the mounting frame until it engages.
