External Audio Source Connections (R199) CD Changer (R41)

There are several versions of external audio source connections:

CAN Versions

Jack for an external audio source inside the glove compartment

Jack for an external audio source inside the center console storage compartment

These external audio source connections are connected directly to the radio (R).

There is a jack for an external audio source either inside the glove compartment or in the center console storage compartment.

MMI

The jack inside the glove compartment is part of information electronics control module 1 (J794).

The interface is located in the glove compartment.

Jack for an external audio source inside the center console storage compartment

These external audio source connections are connected directly to the information electronics control module 1.

There is a jack for an external audio source either inside the glove compartment or in the center console storage compartment.

Different external audio sources can be connected to the external audio source connection (R199) :

• iPod

• MP3-Player

• USB Stick

Suitable adapter cables are needed. Refer to the Owner's Manual.

Fault finding is performed via "Guided Fault Finding" using the vehicle diagnostic tester.
