Airbag Unit Harness Connector

Depending on the market, use the corresponding replacement part through roughly November 2011. Refer to parts catalog.

Removing

Follow all safety precautions when working on pyrotechnic components. Refer to => [ Restraint System Components, Safety Precautions and General Information ] Restraint System Components, Safety Precautions and General Information.

- Remove the driver airbag. Refer to => [ Driver Airbag Igniter N95 and Driver Airbag Igniter 2 N250 ] Driver Airbag Igniter N95 and Driver Airbag Igniter 2 N250.

Vehicles with a 3-Spoke Steering Wheel:






Before handling pyrotechnical components (for example, disconnecting the connector), the person handling them must "discharge static electricity". For example, by briefly touching the door striker pin.

- Release the retaining tabs in order to disconnect the connectors - 1 -, - 2 -, - 4 - and - 6 -.

- Disconnect the connector - 3 - from the adapter and - 5 - for (N95).

- To do this release connector lock - 2 - using a small screwdriver - arrow - and disconnect harness connector - 1 -.






- Unhook and remove the wiring set from the bracket.

Vehicles with a 4-Spoke Steering Wheel:

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Make sure the connectors are installed all the way in and are secure.
