Fluid Filter - A/T: Service and Repair






Oil Screen

Removing






- Remove the ATF pan. Refer to => [ Oil Pan ] Service and Repair.

- Remove the bolts - arrows -.

- Remove the oil screen.

- Remove the oil strainer sealing ring from its seat in the valve body.

Installing






Danger of causing damage to the seal.

First install the oil screen so that it is loose. The oil strainer centers itself noticeably in the valve body seat.

- Coat new sealing ring - 1 - with ATF and mount it on the suction collar.

- Place the ATF strainer on the valve body so that it is still loose but do not push in it yet.

- Turn the bolts - arrows - into the valve body approximately 3 turns, but not more.






- Center oil screen and press the oil screen - arrows - evenly on the corners all the way into the valve body and hold it in this position.

- Install the bolts all the way in by hand but do not tighten them.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Install the oil pan. Refer to => [ Oil Pan ] Service and Repair.

- Fill the ATF. Refer to => [ ATF, Filling ] ATF, Filling.

Tightening Specifications:
