Rear Brake Caliper Assembly Overview






Rear Brake Caliper Assembly Overview

Install complete repair kit when servicing.

Only use mineral spirits to clean brake parts.

Apply thin coat of assembly paste (G 052 150 A2) to brake cylinders, pistons and seals.






1 Dust Cap

Install onto bleeder valve.

2 Bleeder Valve

Torque specification: 12 Nm

Apply a thin coat of assembly paste (G 052 150 A2) to the threads before screwing in.

3 Brake Caliper Housing

4 Seal for 28 mm Piston

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Rear Brake Caliper Piston ] Rear Brake Caliper Piston.

5 Piston Seal 30 mm/32 mm

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Rear Brake Caliper Piston ] Rear Brake Caliper Piston.

6 28 mm Piston

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Rear Brake Caliper Piston ] Rear Brake Caliper Piston.

First apply thin coat of brake cylinder paste (G 052 150 A2) on piston.

7 Piston 30 mm/32 mm

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Rear Brake Caliper Piston ] Rear Brake Caliper Piston.

Apply thin coat on piston beforehand.

8 Protective Caps for 28 mm Piston

Do not damage when installing piston.

9 Piston 30 mm/32 mm Protective Caps

Do not damage when installing piston.

10 Connecting Pipe

Not installed on all models.

Torque specification: 17 Nm

11 TORX Bolt

12 Protective Plate

Not installed on all models.
