External Audio Source Connection (R199) (AMI)

MOST versions (through 29 May 2009)

Audi Music Interface (AMI) is installed inside the back of the center console.

This External Audio Source Connection is connected to the Infotainment system via the MOST bus.

MOST versions (from 1 June 2009)

The AMI is a component of the Information Electronics Control Module 1 (J794).

The interface is located in the glove compartment.

Different external audio sources can be connected to the External Audio Source Connection:

• iPod(R)

• MP3-Player

• USB Stick

A suitable adapter cable is needed. Refer to the Owner's Manual.

Fault finding is performed via "Guided Fault Finding" using Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS5051B).
