Collision Avoidance Warning Indicator: Service and Repair

Lane Change Assistance Warning Lamp in Exterior Mirror

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Pry Lever (80 - 200)

• Protective gloves

Removing






Wear protective gloves.

• To protect the paint in the area around the mirror housing, tape it off with a soft cloth.

- Press mirror glass - 1 - out of mirror adjusting unit - arrow - using (80 - 200).

- Disconnect electrical connectors - 1, 2, 3 - on back side of mirror.






- Release retaining tab - arrow A - and press lane change assistance warning lamp (in exterior mirror) - 2 - out - arrow B -.






- Disconnect electrical connector - 1 -.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

• If LED is faulty, lane change assistance warning lamp in exterior mirror must be completely replaced.

• The warning lamp for the lane change assistance must be adapted if an exterior mirror from a vehicle from MY 09 is installed on a vehicle from MY 10 using the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing & Information System (VAS5051B).

- Attach mirror glass at mirror adjusting unit and press on mirror glass.

• Make sure to press only in mirror center.
