Rear Driveshaft Overview







Rear Driveshaft Overview

General repair information; refer to => [ Repair Information ] Transfer Case 0BU, Front Final Drive 0BM, 0C1 and 0BN, Rear Final Drive 0B (0C8A,0BNH,0BPH,0BMV,0C1V Transmission).

Driveshaft CV joints may only be moved without force and only as far as their stops, which is a 10° angle.

Do not bend the rear driveshaft; store and transport it fully extended with the center support bracket facing upward.

Do not make any repairs to the driveshaft.






1 Rear Final Drive 0BN or 0BP

Identifying and allocating the rear final drive, refer to => [ Rear Final Drive 0BN, 0BP Identification ] Rear Final Drive 0BN, 0BP Identification

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Rear Final Drive ] Rear Final Drive

The color markings on the pins and front driveshaft must all line up.

2 O-ring

Replace

25 mm diameter (black) or 28 mm diameter (green)

Allocation, refer to the Parts Catalog

3 Securing Ring

Replace

25 mm diameter (black) or 28 mm diameter (silver)

Allocation, refer to the Parts Catalog

4 Driveshaft, Center Support

Installed location should be free of tension

5 Securing Ring

Replace

Diameter: 28 mm

Color: Silver

6 O-ring

Replace

Diameter: 28 mm

Color: Green

7 Transfer Case

8 Tunnel Brace

9 Bolt

60 Nm

Quantity: 6

10 Bolt

20 Nm

Quantity: 2

11 Rear Driveshaft

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Rear Driveshaft ] Rear Driveshaft

The color marking on the rear driveshaft must line up with the color marking on the transfer case and rear final drive.

Installed Position of the Tunnel Support





The round hole - arrow - on the tunnel side faces the direction of travel.
