Removing






- Remove the shift gate. Refer to => [ Shift Gate ] Shift Gate.

- Pry out both the left and right bearing bushings - 2 - with a screwdriver.

- Remove the selector lever position "P" locking lever.

Installing

- Insert the locking lever and secure it with both left and right bearing bushings - 2 -.

- Make sure the locking lever is working correctly.






• The emergency release lever - arrow - must move easily and can be moved up and down.

• If will be difficult to move emergency release lever - arrow - if the bushings are installed incorrectly.

• If the emergency release lever is difficult to move, ignition key removal lock will not work.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

• Coat the bearings and the sliding surfaces with polycarbamide grease (G 052 142 A2).

- Install the shift gate. Refer to => [ Shift Gate ] Shift Gate.
