Towing Module: Service and Repair

Towing Recognition Control Module (J345)

- If the control module was replaced, select the "Replace" function for the respective control module in "Guided Fault Finding" or "Guided Functions" of the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing & Information System (VAS5051B).

Removing






4-/5-Seater:

- Remove luggage compartment left and right side trim..

- Remove the luggage compartment floor - 1 - upward - arrows -.

6-/7-Seater:






- Remove luggage compartment right side trim..

- Remove luggage compartment floor covering - 1 - upward - arrows -.

All Vehicles






- Release retaining clips - arrows - and pivot Towing Recognition Control Module - item 1 - out of retaining frame.

- Disconnect the connectors - 2 - and - 3 -.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- The new towing recognition control module must be coded in "Guided Fault Finding" or "Guided Functions" using the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing & Information System (VAS5051B).

- Install luggage compartment side trim..
