Digital Sound System Control Module (J525), BOSE

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Protective Cap For Cable Connector (VAS 6223/9)

The digital sound system control module is located behind the luggage compartment right side trim.

- Switch off all electrical consumers.

- Remove the key.

- If control module is replaced, select "Replacement" function for appropriate control module in "Guided Fault-Finding" routine.

Use the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051) to do so.

Removing

- Remove the right luggage compartment trim panel.

- Remove the bolts - 1 - (5 Nm) at digital sound system control module - 2 - and remove digital sound system control module - 2 - from retaining plate - 3 -.





- Disconnect all connectors on digital sound system control module.

- Attach the (VAS 6223/9) - 1 - onto the MOST-Bus connector - 2 -.





Installing

- Install in reverse order of removal.
