Injectors and High Pressure Line Overview






1 Copper Sealing Ring

Replace

2 O-ring

Replace

3 Injector

Replace the following components and seals or O-rings with each removal and installation: "Copper washer" "injector shaft O-ring" "injector return O-ring"

The following components and seals and/or O-rings must be replaced whenever an injector is replaced: "tensioning bracket", "copper washer", "injector shaft O-ring" and "injector return O-ring".

Before reusing the "injector high pressure line", check the sealing cones for damage such as scratches or corrosion. Replace if damaged

Install any removed injectors, injector high pressure lines and tensioning brackets in their original locations.

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Fuel Injectors ] Fuel Injectors

4 Hex Shoulder Nut

10 Nm

For the tension bracket

5 High-Pressure Lines

Pay attention to cleanliness

Do not change the shape of the line

Removing and installing, refer to => [ High Pressure Lines, Installing ] High Pressure Lines, Installing

6 Fuel Rail

The fuel pressure regulator valve (N276) is bolted into the cylinder bank 1 fuel rail.

The fuel pressure sensor (G247) is bolted into the cylinder bank 2 fuel rail.

7 Seals

Replace

8 Banjo Bolt

25 Nm

9 Distribution Piece

10 High-Pressure Line

25 Nm

From the high pressure pump

Pay attention to cleanliness

Do not change the shape of the line

11 High-Pressure Line

25 Nm

From the opposite fuel rail

Pay attention to cleanliness

Do not change the shape of the line

12 Bolt

22 Nm

13 Fuel Return Lines

Do not disassemble the fuel return lines. Replace them completely with the pressure retention valve.

Bleed the fuel system after replacing, refer to => [ Fuel Tank, Filling with Fuel after Installing High Pressure Pump ] General Information.

14 O-ring

Replace

15 Bolt

5 Nm

Injector unit cover to cylinder head cover

16 Tensioning Bracket

Injectors and tensioning brackets that have been removed and are being reinstalled may only be installed in the same cylinder.

If the injector unit (injector) is being replaced, then the tension bracket must also be replaced.
