High Pressure Lines, Installing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Torque Wrench 5-50 Nm (V.A.G 1331)

Ratchet, Reversible (V.A.G 1331/1)

Tool Insert, AF 17 (V.A.G 1331/6)

Socket (T40055)

Procedure

When re-installing pay attention to the marking for the specific cylinder.

Inspect the sealing cones for deformation, cracks, damage, scratches or corrosion.

The bores for the lines must not be deformed, narrowed or damaged.

Do not use corroded lines again.

- Remove any dirt from the sealing cone on the fuel rail.

- Clean the fuel line and line connection with detergent and dry it with compressed air.

- Coat the threads on the union nut with fuel.

- Tighten the high pressure line union nuts by hand, making sure they are seated without tension.

Tightening specification: 25 Nm

- Use (V.A.G 1331) with (V.A.G 1331/1) and a (T40055) to tighten the high pressure lines.






- Use (V.A.G 1331) with (V.A.G 1331/6) to tighten the high pressure lines.






- Fuel system, performing leak test. Refer to => [ Fuel System, Bleeding and Checking for Leaks ] Procedures.
