Driver Side E-Box Plenum Chamber Fuse and Relay Carrier

Removing






- Remove windshield wiper arm - 1 - and - 3 -. Refer to => [ Windshield Wiper Arms, Adjusting ] Windshield Wiper Arms, Adjusting.

- With ignition switched off, disconnect battery Ground (ND) wire. Refer to => [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting.

- Remove rubber seal - 5 - on plenum chamber cover.

- Remove plenum chamber cover - 4 -.

Danger of damaging the plenum chamber cover.

• Coat the transition between the windshield and cowl panel trim - 2 - with some soapy water and carefully pull the cowl panel trim vertically out of the retainer on the windshield beginning at the edge of the window.

- Carefully remove plenum chamber cover - 2 - from catch on windshield.

- Remove screws - arrows - and remove E-Box plenum chamber cover.






- Release catches - arrows - and pull up relay and fuse panel - 1 - and relay carrier - 2 - and - 3 - in E-box.






- Remove fuses, relays or control modules.






- Remove securing clip - 1 - from fuse panel.

- Release securing clips - arrows - and remove plug-in socket - 3 - from mount - 2 -.

- Remove connectors from plug-in socket.

• Precise assignment of relay and fuse panel in plenum chamber electronics box can be seen from appropriate wiring diagram.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- Connect battery. Refer to => [ Connecting ] Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting.

- Adjust wiper arms. Refer to => [ Windshield Wiper Arms, Adjusting ] Windshield Wiper Arms, Adjusting.
