Right Footwell Vent Temperature Sensor (G262)







Right Footwell Vent Temperature Sensor (G262)

Installed only in vehicles with Comfort version A/C system

- Remove the glove compartment.

- Remove the Front Information Display Control Head Control Module (J523) / Information Electronics Control Module 1 (J794).

- Disconnect connector - B - from Right Footwell Vent Temperature Sensor - A -.






- Rotate Right Footwell Vent Temperature Sensor - A - approximately 90° in direction of arrow.

If there is not enough room to rotate Right Footwell Vent Temperature Sensor - A -, disengage air channel to right footwell - E - from heating & A/C unit (remove air channel - C - and slide air channel to right footwell - E - slightly downward).

- Remove Right Footwell Vent Temperature Sensor - A - from air channel to right footwell - E -.

Installing

- Check O-ring seal - D - for damage and proper fitting.

- Insert Right Footwell Vent Temperature Sensor - A - on proper side into air channel mount - F -.

An O-ring seal - D - is installed so that Right Footwell Vent Temperature Sensor fits without play in mount - F -.

- Connect connector - B - to Right Footwell Vent Temperature Sensor - A - and check wire routing.

- Install the remaining removed components again in reverse order.

- Check the DTC memory for the Climatronic control module (J255) and erase any faults displayed if necessary using the Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051 in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.
